pink dots, pe care-l apreciem mult pentru excentricitatile total neromanesti de care da dovada in programul clubului control, are o opinie justa despre absenta de pe scena b'estfest a unei trupe care alaturi de white lies ar fi spus ca e 2 to the 00 to the 9 in the air.
B'estfest 2009, Bucuresti, ziua a 2-a (sau a 3-a, depinde cum numeri, de la 0 sau de la 1 ). Cei de la The Klaxons urca pe scena si spun ceva gen "ne pare rau, camionul nostru cu scule a avut o defectiune, nu ne-au ajuns echipamentele, nu putem sa cantam, vom baga totusi un DJ-set la Silent Disco, multumim, la revedere" . Probabil clauza de forta majora din contract sau Asigurarile se ocupa de problema mai departe (daca o fi vreo problema). Simplu.
Tinand cont ca The Klaxons nu sunt Pink Floyd ci o trupa tanara din noul val indie britanic, simpla, cu chitara, bass, clape, tobe, care canta destul de mult prin cluburi, speram la un cu totul alt scenariu, in care oamenii urca pe scena si spun: “Ne pare rau, camionul nostru cu scule nu a ajuns, dar am imprumutat chitarile de la AB4, niste tobe de la organizatori, etc. si, desi nu avem cd-urile, preseturile si hardware-ul nostru, vom incerca sa facem ceva special azi, sa cantam cu ce avem pentru ca ne place muzica, ne "stim" bine piesele si am venit aici sa cantam. "Ar fi fost ceva deosebit si chiar o lovitura de marketing, pentru ca a doua zi presa de specialitate ar fi scris: "The Klaxons a rupt Bucurestiul cu un setup minimal si scule imprumutate".
Dar, evident, ca sa faci asta trebuie sa iti placa sa canti, sa stii sa canti si in primul rand sa ai "caracter".
Despre cum este sa canti dupa ce ai facut focul ca sa-ti incalzesti saxofonul, despre cum este sa-ti tii concertul pentru care ai venit chiar daca a cazut curentul electric sau cand constati ca boxele din locatie sunt de fapt niste galene si lumea trebuie sa faca liniste ca sa te auda puteti citi aici intr-o discutie superba dintre Tom Waits si Beck.

pentru cei care au asteptat cu sufletul la gura raspunsul la intrebarea "nu faceti concurs tocmai la jointul vostru?", raspunsul este afirmativ. astfel ca, daca vreti sa-l auziti live pe maestrul microfunk-ului mangaiati de briza alternativa a terasei mnac in vinerea aceasta, trebuie sa ne dati o solutie amuzanta&inspirata la provocarea: ce afectiune/durere/problema credeti ca trateaza o pastila de akufen? avem 3 invitatii compensate care va asteapta pana vineri, ora 14.

In 2007 Will 'Quantic' Holland moved to Cali, Colombia’s third largest city, to pursue his passion for both unearthing lost treasures from Colombia’s musical past and making new music with the golden array of talent available today.Since he settled in Cali, Holland has set up an analogue studio and recorded and released two albums (2007’s highly lauded 'Tropidelico' by The Quantic Soul Orchestra; and the debut from his tropical-dub side project Quantic Presenta Flowering Inferno, in 2008) featuring some of the cream of Cali musicianship. | 2009, 12k. Let's Make Better Mistakes Tomorrow is the third full-length CD from the 23 year old Polish musician Tomasz Bednarcyzk. Following Summer Feelings and Painting Sky Together (Room40), Bednarczyk naturally continues his process of utilizing mainly treated piano and guitar to create fragile, lingering structures that hover around only a few fundamental notes. The release is structured like a traditional LP, where the first five tracks are the side of the record emphasizes shimmering, high frequency passages of treated guitar and piano before transitioning to the darker, murkier second side. Stylistically you might pick up on influences from the likes of Stephan Mathieu, Tim Hecker and Janek Schaefer as the album unfolds; Bednarczyk pieces together electronically modified tones, environmental recordings and the kind of sonic artifacts you'd associate with the recording and playback processes (vinyl crackle, glitches etc) resulting in some spine-tinglingly effective moments. din fericire, killers nu si-au ancorat playlist-ul exclusiv in momentul recent si mediocru al "suntem oameni sau dansator?" ci au facut o excursie in jumatatea de album de debut glorios hot fuss atunci cand parca nu era nimic ipocrit in a spune in gura mare it's indie rocknroll to me iar ive got soul but im not a soldier parea un joc de cuvinte cu ceva sens. m-a surprins memoria versurilor la majoritatea audientei si culmea e ca nu erau toti olandezi. setup-ul de scena a fost si el un 10% din impactul gig-ului, acel K iconic din fatza fiind simbolul unei intrari fastuoase in decorul de cazino lasvegasian in care te intampina si accentul sudist cu touch mormon al lui brandon flowers (75% din show). plus: reactia incurcata a spectatorilor la cover-ul glacial dupa joy division deloc pretabil la maini fluturande de stadion. all in all, pentru o trupa care a inceput sa cante in cluburi de transexuali, au ajuns departe.

am primit raspunsuri cat pentru primul rand din fatza de la franz ferdinand ca doar si ocazia de festival o presupunea asa ca sarcina de alege doi fericiti e si mai dificila. uitandu-ne mai atent la capitolul "what advertising taught us" am luat in calcul raspunsurile simple, dintr-o bucata, fara claxoane de decor, so, printr-o tripla filtrare, invitatiile merg la mari si tatamare (raspunsuri aici). mail prompt la iulian.fecioru@gmail.com, restul, do your b'estfest!
